Councillors’ Updates

Cllr Hayes raised the future of the local churches and the associated buildings due to a need to reduce the number of buildings going forward. This is an ongoing discussion within the Church of Scotland nationally and she urged people to take action and inform the Church at George Street. She also asked people think of any fall-back position in the event of hall closures etc.

Website

Mac Logan gave an update from the website sub-group. The website can be found at https://ckcc2000.wordpress.com A member of the public attending offered to become involved. As they are not yet resident they could not immediately be invited to the group. There may be potential to co-opt and this will be investigated by office bearers. The interested member of the public exchanged contact details with Mac Logan.

AOCB

Anne Forgie intimated a resident’s concerns about flooding beside the car park in Kilconquhar due to blocked drains outside her house, and raised the question if the removal of trees/foliage from around the pumping station may have contributed. Cllr Hayes asked for photographs to be forwarded to her for follow up.

A resident reported a dangerous tree in Barnyards which is in need of felling.

People were asked to note and make use of the Community Larder at Colinsburgh Town Hall.
